Entered Fairfield University in the fall of 1996 as an outstanding three-sport high school athlete. Colleen quickly learned the game, becoming a fixture as a starting member of the team at prop during the fall season, 1996. Strong, skilled, tactically knowledgeable and technically sound as a front row player, she became one of the best props in the Northeast and a natural leader of the team on and off the field.

Colleen was an all about rugger in her four years; a fierce tackler, successful lineout player and an excellent scrummager. She is widely credited with changing the culture of the women's team by her character, hard work, sense of fairness and dedication. A true pioneer of the Fairfield Lady Ruggers.
