Emily Barrett

Emily Barrett, '12

Emily began playing rugby at Fairfield as a freshman and spent her entire four years as a starting forward on some of the best teams in the first 25 years of women's rugby at Fairfield. She was a ferocious, physical player who was the heart and soul of the teams she played on.

"Barrett" led by example with her spirited, physical play. She is most remembered for her stiff-armed handoffs of opposing players and her ability to score tries, particularly deep in the attacking end of the field. A physical and emotional leader, she earned the respect of all of her teammates and opponents and was a player who always looked out for her teammates first.
