Francis X “Frank” Quinn ‘66 passed away on July 15, 2024.
“Quinnie,” as he was known to his teammates, was a founding member of Fairfield University Rugby and served as its very first president. He represented the best of Fairfield Rugby, remaining connected to his teammates and the program through the decades.
“Quinnie was a hooker; not too big but a very tough Irishman with a sly way of out hooking his opponents,” according to FOFR Board Chair Bart Franey ’67. “He was one of my club mentors and talked me into succeeding him as President for which I am forever grateful.”
We extend our condolences to his family and all those who loved him.
Rest in peace, Quinnie.
